Shannon James, born February 5, 1987, in Holland, Pennsylvania, is the Playboy Playmate of the Month for May 2007. Discovered through Howard Stern’s show after her friend Lindsay Campbell submitted photos, she earned a test shoot. At the time, she was a University of Central Florida student and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority member, later switching to online classes to pursue modeling.

James appeared on Hooters billboards, their 2008 calendar (as May’s cover girl), and in the 2007 Hooters pageant. Fans were encouraged to vote for her as Playmate of the Year on Hooters’ website, but she lost to Jayde Nicole in 2008. Her goal is to become an entertainment broadcaster for E! News Live.
