Meet Emily Watson, born January 14, 1967, an English actress. She got Oscar noms for her first big role as Bess McNeil in Lars von Trier’s Breaking the Waves (1996) and as Jacqueline du Pré in Hilary and Jackie (1998), snaggin’ the BIFA Award for Best Actress for that one. She also nabbed a BAFTA TV Award for playin’ Janet Leach in the 2011 ITV biopic Appropriate Adult.
Emily started on stage, joinin’ the Royal Shakespeare Company in ‘92. In 2002, she lit up Twelfth Night and Uncle Vanya at the Donmar Warehouse, scorin’ a 2003 Olivier Award nom for Best Actress for Vanya.
